Fresh Mackinaw by the Lake
Nothing is better than a sun-filled afternoon with friends in June dining on fresh caught Mackinaw trout, especially when it’s cooked and presented at a Priest Lake campground.
This simple but delectable meal was prepared with sautéd white onion and crisp fresh apple laid over the top of fillet of Lake Trout (Mackinaw). The garnish is sliced apricot and bing cherries.
Our salad was lettuce greens mixed with a head of Romaine topped with North Idaho’s famous Litehouse Dressing: Chunky Blue Cheese graced with bacon bits and a sliced strawberry to add color.
Hmmm. This is what you get when you fish Priest Lake!
